Script All SQL Server Jobs from SQL Server Management Studio

sqlserver2014

If you have several jobs that you want to script from one server and add to one or more other servers, you can manually script out each job, or with a little extra work you can script out multiple jobs at once. You can script out multiple jobs from within SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) by following these steps:

  1. Go to SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  2. Expand SQL Server Agent > Jobs view
  3. Hit F7 (or from the menu click View>Object Explorer Details)
  4. Now all jobs should be listed as a tab
  5. Use the Control key and mouse to choose one  or more jobs, or if you want to script everything use Ctrl + A
  6. Right click > “Script Job as” > “Create To” and choose your preferred destination like clipboard, file, or new query window
