Plumbago app from Microsoft might replace pen and paper

Microsoft’s Plumbago application is a digital notebook designed to allow users to write text, add highlights, make sketches, and even virtually draw on their tablet devices using either pen or pencil strokes. The Windows application let users have virtual notebook up to a 25-pages in length. A user needs to just swipe the screen to flip the page, just like physical notebooks. It also has an option of choosing between pen, pencil, and highlighter with various drawing tip sizes.

Plumbago is offered from Microsoft Research, and it is still in the experimental phase, so expect a few bugs as the price of admission.
