LibreOffice as free alternative to Microsoft Office

LibreOffice 5.2 is a free and open source alternative to Microsoft’s Office productivity software. With over 120 million users around the world, it is a serious alternative to an expensive Microsoft suite of products. LibreOffice includes modules for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, vector graphics and flowcharts, databases, and formula editing. Some of the new enterprise-ready features include document classification according to Transglobal Secure Collaboration Participation (TSCP) standards. That means business users with sensitive documents can now restrict how they’re used. LibreOffice upgraded spreadsheet module, named Calc, now features a set of improved forecasting functions to eliminate what has be historically been a weaker offering than it’s major competitors.
